Saturday, September 19, 2009 was the day of Ko Samui's "Adventure Race." This race included running over rough terrain, kayaking, bicycling and swimming. Similar events apparently took place at several different locations during the year. This one started right opposite our anchorage in Bophut with a footrace on the sandy beach which continued along the rocky shoreline. In the next bay the racers paddled away in kayaks. This photo shows the lead kayakers and some of the trailing runners.
